Shattering Limits! The theme for our sec 3 lifeskills camp. I was really happy that my logo was selected to be printed at the front corner of the lifeskills camp tee. It was in a shape of a box with spirals bursting out to represent the venture into unknown territories, getting out of your comfort zone. I added in the stripes at the edge of the box to make the design seemed more interesting.

A sphere and a “don’t know what you call it” shape. I did this during one of the sec 2 art lessons in school. It was meant as an exercise to see our observations and our shading skills. I am quite satisfied with the shading of both pieces of work (:

This is one of the pieces of work that I am working at for my external art lessons. It is drawn after a photograph of a water fall in Indonesia if I am not wrong. Oils are my favourite medium so I enjoy painting it a lot! Currently it is still not completed; I have yet to perfect the water as well as the humans who are playing in the waterfall. I shall continue it after the end of year examinations!

Yo yo yo. Haha this was one of the exercise I did in sec 2 where we were suppose to observe our own hand and draw them out.
This design was used for my batik design in sec 2. The sketch of the dragon on the white paper above is the common design that will be repeated in final design. The image below is the final design in the green and blue colour scheme. It is A4 size and done in poster colour. My final work is in fiery red, yellow, orange and brown as I thought it would represent my dragon better. I cannot really find my actual batik painting of the drawing therefore I am unable to post it here:/
During the Festival of Arts in Sec 2, one of the art assignments was to design a mascot for this event as well as come up with medium to advertise. This is a sketch of how my mascot would look like. It is an octopus and I chose to use it because each of its arms is holding something that represents the arm. Being able to do some much stuff would mean that it is all rounded, excelling in all form of arts! My group advertising strategy was to use postcard. There would be a main cover page and 3 similar postcards, each portraying our own mascot.
The idea of the mascot was also tied in with sculpturing and we were required to make a clay model of our mascot. Ha it was quite challenging to make my octopus because it had so many arms, 8 in total!! O.o So I had to patiently stick on each arm and make sure they stay. I had fun colouring it! Presenting to you *drumrolls* Mr Octopus!
Integration! This was the theme for our sec 1 lifeskills camp. We were required to come up with a design to show the sec 1 integrating into the big Nanyang family. Integrating sounds like fixing 2 puzzle pieces together so I incorporated that in my design. Our clock tower is very prominent so I thought I would use it to represent Nanyang and the girl at the bottom represents us. Therefore together they meant integrating into Nanyang!
This piece of work was done during my sec 2 year. We were required to use our hands to box out an area of the objects placed in front of us (sort of liking taking a snapshot with our hands) Then we had to draw our snapshot our in black and white. This exercise was to test how well we could balance our black and white areas. Can you guess what are the 2 objects that I drew?
