I’m back again for some cobweb-dusting! Yes that was a five month-long break from blogging that can be best explained by one word — COURSEWORK! (And the prelims of course) I can’t wait for the A levels to be over, because once it ends I’ll revamp this blog again and update all my new shit (The tab on Wall of Stuff is terribly outdated, please don’t look at it till I update it) Actually the internal workings of this entire blog is terribly untidy, I’ve got half a mind to just jump somewhere else once i figure out how to back up all my stuff. Argh!
But I still really love The Little-Known Shack, because no one ever visits it so I’m quite comforted by the fact that it’s my own space and I can air my views without a worry. It’s odd that I often crave solitude after being willingly surrounded by people day to day, but we’re all human and seek opposites to ourselves.
Anyway, I took part in the Canon Photomarathon with Jerrold last, last saturday. We didn’t bring home any expensive awards but we had a great deal of fun and did a fair share of random exploration from abstract light photography to drawing speed lines with a handphone torchlight and long exposure to lying on the road with multi-exposures and risking a nasty accident involving a body (Jerrold’s) and a fast car. Very tiring, very fun. I also learnt a truckload of things from Jerrold, who was incredibly patient throughout especially when dealing with my frustrations with the camera and my own incapabilities!
For those inexperienced with with the Photomarathon, you’re basically given a theme to work on every three hours, and within those three hours you must run out, grab a shot, and rush back. You also must do this three times. *phew* No edits of photographs are allowed. (yes, no photoshop)
Here are our entries, the one on the left was shot by me and one on right by Jerrold. I’m showing both because this competition was a team effort. Jerrold was using the Nikon D300 (Thanks to Victor!) and I was using the Nikon D90.

Hope we’ll be back next year!
